There is often something that drives
the children of famous parents to achieve a degree of
fame in their own right. Such may be the case with
43-year old Brian O’Connor who is the son of Supreme
Court Justice Sandra Day O’Connor. Or it just may be
that O’Connor, like so many other climbers, is
irresistibly drawn to the challenge of summiting the
world’s tallest mountains.

O’Connor was a member of the Everest03 Expedition, a group
of nine experienced climbers ascending Everest to commemorate the 50th
anniversary of the first successful summit by New Zealander Sir Edmund Hillary
and Sherpa Tenzing Norgay. O’Connor, who is a successful Scottsdale
businessman, is also a pilot, and skydiver and though he refers to himself as
a recreational climber he has an impressive mountaineering resume.
With his summit of Everest 4th Generation Arizonian O’Connor
joins
an exclusive club of just over 100 people who have climbed the “Seven
Summits”, the tallest mountains on each continent.
His team's expedition reports are
