	Anna reached the summit of Everest on May 22, 2001 as part of Bernard Muller French Everest expedition. She was the 61st woman to summit Everest.

One interesting story on Anna: Cho Oyu 1999: Anna with the French Guide Marc Batard decided to take a non-standard route to avoid an area high with avalanche risk. She and Mark were swept about 100 meters down the mountain when they started a small avalanche on this non-standard route! They both survived to climb another day! However, Anna died on 6/27/01 while piloting a small plane in the Alps.
