5.      CLIMBED MT. BLANC, THE HIGHEST PEAK IN EUROPE IN 1986 (15,782 FT.)

 

6.      LED TATA’S SUCCESSFUL EXPEDITION TO MT. SRIKAILASH IN 1988 (22,744 FT)

 

7.      LED TATA’S SUCCESSFUL EXPEDITION TO MT. KAMET AND MT. ABI-GAMIN IN 1989 (7756 MTR AND 7735 MTR RESPECTIVELY)

9.      LEADER – WOMEN’S PRE-EVEREST SELECTION EXPEDITION TO MT. KAMET (25,445 FT) AND MT. ABI-GAMIN (24,130 FT) IN 1991.  16 GIRLS CLIMBED MT. ABI-GAMIN AND REACHED A MAXIMUM HEIGHT OF 25,350 FT ON MT. KAMET.

 

10.  LEADER – WOMEN’S 2ND PRE-EVEREST SELECTION EXPEDITION TO MT. MAMOSTANG KANGRI (24,686 FT).  15 MEMBERS INCLUDING 10 GIRLS REACHED THE SUMMIT.  A FIRST ASCENT BY WOMEN – 1992.

 

11.  LEADER – TATA’S MT. SHIVLING EXPEDITION IN 1992.

 

12.  LEADER – INDO-NEPALESE WOMEN’S MT. EVEREST EXPEDITION IN 1993.  THIS EXPEDITION LCOULD CREATE 7 WORLD RECORDS AND 18 PEOPLE REACHED THE SUMMIT INCLUDING 7 WOMEN.

 

13.  SINCE 1984, PROMOTING MULTIFARIOUS ADVENTURE ACTIVITIES FOR THE COMMUNITY IN GENERAL AND TATA STEEL IN PARTICULAR -

 

      PERSONAL GROWTH THROUGH ADVENTURE LEARNING :- TATA STEEL IS PERHAPS THE ONLY ONE COMPANY IN INDIA WHICH HAS MADE ADVENTURE TRAINING COMPULSORY FOR THE NEW RECRUITS (AS AN INTEGRAL PART OF ITS ONE YEAR TRAINING) FOR THEIR HUMAN RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT.

 

14.  LEADER – THE GREAT INDIAN WOMEN’S RAFTING VOYAGE’ 1994, PIONEERING EFFORT BY WOMEN IN SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETING THE JOURNEY IN THE GANGES FROM HARIDWAR TO CALCUTTA 2150 KM.

 

15.  LEADER – THE INDIAN WOMEN’S FIRST TRANS HIMALAYAN JOURNEY’ 1997.  EFFORT BY WOMEN IN SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETING THE TREKKING JOURNEY FROM ARUNACHAL PRADESH (EAST) TO SIACHEN (WEST) REACHING INDIRA COL THE NORTHERN MOST TIP OF INDIA (20100 FT), COVERING MORE THAN 4500 KM IN ‘225’ DAYS CROSSING MORE THAN 40 HIGH MOUNTAIN PASSES.  THIS IS THE FIRST SUCCESS BY ANY COUNTRY.

 

16. TREKKED THE ENTIRE SNOWDONIA CIRCUIT IN PLAS-Y-BRENIN NORTH WALES . U.K., - 1998.

 

17.   LEADER ‘VIJAY RALLY TO KARGIL’ – 1999.  EXPEDITION ON MOTORCYCLES BY WOMAN MOUNTAINEERS TO EXPRESS SOLIDARITY AND TO PAY TRIBUTE TO OUR BRAVE SOLDIERS. ROUTE TAKEN, DELHI-MANALI-LEH-KARGIL-DRAS-KARGIL-SRINAGAR-JAMMU-HARYANA-DELHI CROSSING ROHTANG PASS (13044’), TANGLANG LA (17582’)
