EverestHistory.com: Li Zhixin

Li Zhixin, from China, summited Everest on May 5, 1988 on the China-Japan-Nepal Friendship Expedition. He climbed the standard North East Ridge route used today. He is currently Director of the Mountaineering Sports Administrative Center (MSAC) of the State General Administration of Sports. He is also the executive vice-president of the Chinese Mountaineering Association (CMA).
